YONKERS, N.Y. — Yonkers accountant Paul Tuffy was recently recognized for his contributions to Lansdowne Bhoys Football Club, the Bronx-based soccer organization said.
Tuffy, owner of Tuffy & Associates on McLean Avenue, is a native of County Sligo in Ireland. He is, the club said, a well-known businessman in the heavily Irish section of the city.
He was given a plaque in honor of his “championing” of the club’s application for non-profit status, said club president William McGrory. The award ceremony took place at the club’s annual dinner-dance, held at The Rambling House, a popular Irish spot in the Bronx.
